Overview
Tour It is a 360 degree environment where students create and/or gather media assets (images, video, etc.) to create an immersive experience. Students will practice their creativity, cultural awareness, and technical proficiency through digital storytelling that conveys a sense of place about a location that is connected to course content.
How to use this in your classroom
For detailed step-by-step instructions, access the Tour It instructor guide.
Quick summary of steps:
- Instructors make a Tour It assignment in their LMS such as Canvas.
- Instructors create the initial tour that can be blank or populated with foundational content.
- Students each receive their own copy of the tour that they can populate and edit based on the assignment’s goals. Students will…
a. Gather assets to reflect a place
b. Combine assets to build a story
c. Upload and refine the assets in Tour It - Students submit a published link for instructors to see their final creation! This link can be shared with the whole class!
